Le valigie sono ormai tornate negli armadi, le foto sono state scaricate sugli smartphone e un po’ di sana nostalgia ha già iniziato a farsi sentire. Anche l’estate 2026 di TGS Eurogroup è giunta al termine, lasciandoci in dote un bagaglio prezioso fatto non solo di progressi nella lingua inglese, ma soprattutto di amicizie, sorrisi e chilometri percorsi insieme.

Quest’anno i nostri ragazzi si sono divisi tra due mete straordinarie: l’Irlanda e la Gran Bretagna. Siete pronti a sfogliare con noi l’album dei ricordi di queste settimane indimenticabili?

Destinazione Irlanda: tra vita da campus e spirito gaelico

Il gruppo volato a Dublino ha vissuto un’esperienza immersiva nel bellissimo campus di Maynooth. L’Irlanda ci ha accolti con i suoi ritmi, il suo verde sconfinato e, naturalmente, la sua cultura travolgente.

Sfogliamo nuovamente i momenti più belli di questo viaggio nell’album fotografico dedicato all’Irlanda sulla nostra pagina Facebook. Guardando queste immagini ci tornano subito in mente i volti concentrati e divertiti dei ragazzi mentre si cimentano con i passi delle danze tradizionali irlandesi, o le corse a perdifiato trascorse a divertirsi provando gli sport gaelici tradizionali con gli amici della Gaelic Athletic Association. E poi ci sono gli immancabili scatti di gruppo durante le gite: le pose sorridenti davanti a Castletown House e al Maynooth Castle, fino alle intense passeggiate per le vie di Dublino.

Un momento di grande crescita civica e culturale, ben documentato nei nostri ricordi, è stata la visita al Parlamento Irlandese, arricchita dall’incontro con un suo membro, Naoise Ó Cearúil. Non mancano le fotografie che catturano il fascino puro del Trinity College o la magia di esplorare Dublino di sera. Tutto questo, reso speciale dalla costante accoglienza e collaborazione con la famiglia salesiana d’Irlanda, che ha reso l’esperienza una vera e propria casa lontano da casa.

Destinazione Gran Bretagna: il calore delle famiglie e la magia di Londra

Per i ragazzi del gruppo inglese, l’avventura ha avuto come base la vivace cittadina di Reading e gli accoglienti spazi della parrocchia di English Martyrs.

Ricordiamo le foto di questa esperienza sfogliando insieme l’album fotografico della Gran Bretagna. Scorrere questi scatti significa tuffarsi di nuovo nell’immersione totale nella vita locale, testimoniata dagli sguardi complici e sereni nati grazie all’ospitalità delle famiglie britanniche, che i nostri giovani hanno vissuto come delle vere e proprie seconde famiglie.

Le immagini ci raccontano una quotidianità fatta di lezioni mattutine e scoperte pomeridiane. In questa speciale galleria troviamo i sorrisi distesi durante i pasti al sacco consumati sul prato del Prospect Park, i volti curiosi alla ricerca del passato nel Reading Abbey Quarter e i momenti di condivisione all’Università di Reading.

E le gite fuori porta? Le foto lasciano senza fiato! C’è tutta la meraviglia dei ragazzi catturata tra le mura del Castello di Windsor e durante la gita a Guildford, oltre all’incanto di Londra. Una menzione speciale va sicuramente agli scatti suggestivi del pomeriggio trascorso al leggendario Globe Theatre, dove i ragazzi hanno assistito alla commedia shakespeariana “Molto Rumore per Nulla”: un vero tuffo nella letteratura e nel teatro che traspare chiaramente dalle loro espressioni!

Il filo rosso della nostra estate

Che si trovassero nei corridoi di un college irlandese o nei salotti di una famiglia inglese, i ragazzi di TGS Eurogroup hanno condiviso lo stesso identico spirito. L’estate 2026 ci ha confermato ancora una volta che il vero cuore dei nostri viaggi sono i legami che si creano: le serate di giochi, le riflessioni condivise, i momenti all’aria aperta e la guida costante dei nostri instancabili Leader.

Grazie a tutti i ragazzi per essersi messi in gioco, ai Leader per l’energia inesauribile e ai genitori per la fiducia che ci rinnovano anno dopo anno.

L’album di questa estate si chiude qui, ma lo spazio per nuove foto è ancora tanto. Ci vediamo alla prossima avventura!

Suitcases have been unpacked, photos downloaded to smartphones, and a healthy touch of nostalgia has already begun to set in. Summer 2026 at TGS Eurogroup has also come to an end, leaving us with a precious bag of memories made not only of progress in the English language, but above all of friendships, smiles, and many miles traveled together.

This year, our young participants were divided between two extraordinary destinations: Ireland and Great Britain. Are you ready to flip through the photo album of these unforgettable weeks with us?

Destination Ireland: between campus life and Gaelic spirit

The group that flew to Dublin experienced an immersive stay on the beautiful Maynooth campus. Ireland welcomed us with its rhythm, boundless greenery, and, naturally, its overwhelming culture.

Let’s look back at the best moments of this trip in the photo album dedicated to Ireland on our Facebook page. Looking at these pictures immediately brings to mind the focused and joyful faces of our youths as they try traditional Irish dance steps, or breathless runs having fun trying traditional Gaelic sports with friends from the Gaelic Athletic Association. And then there are the inevitable group shots during day trips: smiling poses in front of Castletown House and Maynooth Castle, all the way to intense walks through the streets of Dublin.

A moment of great civic and cultural growth, well documented in our memories, was the visit to the Irish Parliament, enriched by a meeting with one of its members, Naoise Ó Cearúil. There is no shortage of photographs capturing the pure charm of Trinity College or the magic of exploring Dublin by night. All of this was made special by the constant welcome and collaboration with the Salesian family of Ireland, which made the experience a true home away from home.

Destination Great Britain: the warmth of host families and the magic of London

For the youths in the English group, the adventure was based in the lively town of Reading and the welcoming spaces of English Martyrs Parish.

Let’s remember the photos from this experience by flipping together through the Great Britain photo album. Scrolling through these shots means diving back into total immersion in local life, evidenced by the knowing and serene smiles born thanks to the hospitality of British families, whom our young people experienced as true second families.

The images tell us about a daily routine made up of morning classes and afternoon discoveries. In this special gallery, we find relaxed smiles during packed lunches on the grass of Prospect Park, curious faces exploring the past in the Reading Abbey Quarter, and shared moments at the University of Reading.

And the day trips? The photos take your breath away! All the wonder of our youths is captured within the walls of Windsor Castle, during the trip to Guildford, and throughout the enchantment of London. A special mention certainly goes to the evocative shots from the afternoon spent at the legendary Globe Theatre, where the youths attended Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing: a true dive into literature and theatre that shines clearly through their expressions!

The common thread of our summer

Whether in the corridors of an Irish college or in the living rooms of an English host family, the youths of TGS Eurogroup shared the exact same spirit. Summer 2026 confirmed once again that the true heart of our trips lies in the bonds that are formed: games evenings, shared reflections, outdoor moments, and the constant guidance of our tireless Leaders.

Thank you to all the young people for stepping up, to the Leaders for their endless energy, and to the parents for the trust they renew in us year after year.
